The illogic of same-sex unions

Arguments have been advanced by individuals, interest groups, leaders and governments for the recognition of homosexual unions and according such unions and the warped individuals involved all rights and privileges that heterosexual union and couples enjoy. There are the gay right movements campaigning for and defending the rights of homosexuals. A lot of people vent tirades against and blacklist people who voice out opposition to homosexuality and businesses have been forced to close in countries like the US because owners said service to homosexuals in certain contexts violated their religious convictions.


It appears as if the rights of others are being side-lined to further the new found “love and understanding” for homosexuals. The fundamental human rights of others, especially real Christians are being violated to enforce laws that stood logic and truth on their heads. Homosexuals have found allies in even so called clergymen who do not believe that the God they claim to serve expressly forbid sodomy. It is no news that homosexuality has been legalized in many places in the Western world and less endowed countries who refuse to join the madness are even being victimized by the big brothers.

Homosexuality is both illogic and senseless and all the people and groups campaigning in favour of it are confused. It is appalling to find so-called Christian groups and Churches supporting homosexuality and ordained ministers coming out to declare that they are homosexuals when this practice is expressly condemned In the Bible.

The Webster Dictionary of Contemporary English define the term homosexual as

1.          of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex  

2           of, relating to, or involving sexual intercourse between persons of the same sex  

and homosexuality as

1           the quality or state of being homosexual   

2           erotic activity with another of the same sex  

Laws are not sentimental to outrageous personal tendencies and idiosyncrasies. People will always have tendencies – sinister or noble, morally right or wrong. Individuals with tendency to steal, rob, rape, carry out suicide attacks, etc cannot sue for freedom to indulge in such activities or complain of violation of their fundamental human rights because the law is against their tendencies. Wrong tendencies should be dealt with. Homosexuals need rehabilitation, counsel and prayers not a licence for their licentious eccentricity.

It is unfortunate that many same sex couples want to have and raise children and some are already doing so because some countries permit this. Two men or two women raising children! This is insincerity, deception and self delusion. I would expect them to forget about children because their adopted lifestyle does not support natural biological procreation that they stand against. I wrote "adopted lifestyle" because no one is born a homosexual. It is understandable when heterosexual couples having problems with conception seek alternative avenues to realize their goal but homosexuals should be prohibited from raising children. Homosexuals raising babies and labouring to prove to the world that homosexual lifestyle is fun and could be as real as those of straight people are living a lie.

Children raised by homosexuals may have identity crisis and lack the normal healthy and moral atmosphere conducive to raising wholesome children. There are lots of problems with raising children, especially teenagers in the society already; homosexual "families" will further compound these by breeding dysfunctional children. Yes, there are broken homes, homeless kids and single parents raising children. Sometimes abusive parents and parents with other problems do lose custody of their children. These are not ideal situations and homosexuals cannot continue to harp on this to support their lifestyle that denigrate the sanctity of marriage. Homosexuality is foundationally wrong and same sex couples who desire to raise children should not be afforded that luxury. Do they need children? Children in care of homosexual couples should be withdrawn because it is unhealthy for the innocent children. Homosexuals are only trying to perpetuate their obnoxious lifestyle by indirectly co-opting innocent children under the guise of parenthood. If you take the plunge, be ready for the backlash. Those who decide to turn their back on nature and God should brace themselves for the thorny road they chose.

Why are homosexuals placed in a special class? What if cannibals, drug addicts, people into bestiality and others with disturbed personality all start clamouring for recognition and the freedom to exercise their tendencies? The fact is that irrespective of religion, God has programmed in man certain basic knowledge of what is acceptable and what is not. Yes, some things label are sins by the pious and heavenly-minded may still be acceptable to the larger society but there are certain activities that are obvious to rational people irrespective of religious leanings to be clearly against nature. Homosexuality is against nature. It is a spiritual problem, probably also a medical problem, that people into it should be helped to overcome rather than giving them more room to fester and give them the impression that "it's cool".

Homosexuality should be outlawed because there is no fundamental rights being trampled on in this matter. The sick needs treatment, care and support. Homosexuals are disoriented people with imbalanced sexual traits who need to be helped.
